B.S. Genomics & Molecular Genetics (2010) Michigan State University
B.S. Plant Biology (2009) Michigan State University

My primary research interest is plant natural product evolution.  To study this, I focus on the chemical mediated coevolutionary dyanmics between plants and herbivorous insects.  Thus, my areas of expertises are in plant biology, quantitative genetics, chemical ecology, and evolutionary biology.  In addition to research, I am also highly involved in science outreach and communication.  I am the director of Athens Science Cafe, I write blogs for the Athens Science Observer, and I make science education videos.
