Postdoctoral Researcher, Sweigart lab Education Education: PhD Genetics (2022) University of Georgia B.S. Biology (2016) University of Wisconsin - Green Bay Research Research Areas: Evolutionary Genetics Research Interests: I am interested in how adaptation to ecological conditions contributes to the speciation process. I study the genetic basis and evolution of ecological isolation focusing on drought response and photoperiod response in Mimulus. In this system differential adaptation to environmental conditions can prevent hybridization as well as contribute to selection against hybrids, which are likely to possess maladaptive intermediate phenotypes.
