WASHINGTON — The National Academy of Sciences announced today the election of 120 members and 25 international members in recognition of their distinguished and continuing achievements in original research.

The Humanities Festival opening celebration on March 17 will highlight significant achievements by students and faculty in the humanities and the arts during the past year.

The Presidential Award of Excellence is one of the University of Georgia's most distinguished honors for undergraduate students.
